Pearson BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary diploma in Health and Social Care


Overview

The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Health and Social Care is a specialist work- related qualification that follows on from the certificate. This qualification covers key knowledge and practical skills required in the vocational sector and is equivalent to one GCE A Level. The subsidiary diploma offers and engaging programme for learners who are clear about the area of employment within the Health and Social Care sector.

All learners will work closely with their assessor to complete all mandatory units (worth 30 credits) and to choose optional units carefully in favour of their chosen career path within Health and Social Care.

30 credits must be taken from mandatory units:

  • Developing effective communication in health and social care
  • Equality, Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care
  • Health, Safety and Security in Health and Social Care


Optional units will be carefully chosen from a diverse range of units to acquire 30 credits.
